A luxurious butter, naturally high in oleic acid and stearic acid and vitamins A, E and F, with a neutral aroma. Shea butter is a deeply nourishing oil with a low melt point so it melts wonderfully into the skin. It is useful for all skin types including dry and problematic skin, and is a popular ingredient in body butters and moisturisers.
Suitable for those prone to both dry skin and / or acne.

Our shea butter comes in a jar and is normally solid. In warmer temperatures, the butter can be scooped out from the jar. If the butter is too hard, gently soften it by placing the jar in a bowl of hot water.
Sourced from a women’s cooperative in Ghana. In the women’s cooperative the nuts are harvested, cleaned and pressed. The butter is then shipped to the UK, where it is lightly refined using clay and steam to reduce the naturally strong odour.
